Romantic Era Dress

   This dress is made from Sense & Sensibility's Romantic Era dress pattern.  I made is from fabric in my stash for a tea I held recently.

   This pattern went together very easily.  I pleated the skirt from the front darts to within 3-4" from either side of the back closure.  In the photos, the hem is machine basted; I was up very late the night before trying to finish it.  I got everything done but the sleeve and skirt hems and the hooks and eyes on the waistband.  I did the sleeve hems and the hooks and eyes the morning of the tea, but had to leave the skirt hem for a later time!
